Spending quiet time, alone with our Heavenly Father to allow the Holy Spirit to speak and reveal things to us is vital for our walk with Christ. It is in these times where Holy Spirit can bring things back to our memory to heal and deliver us from things said, done, or thought about in our past.

While sitting home alone the other day, which is a rarity nowadays, I took advantage of my alone time to worship, praise, and spend time with Holy Spirit. I admit, it can sometimes be difficult to sit in silence as we wait on the Lord to speak to us. These quiet times, however, are worth it in the end. In this particular session, the Holy Spirit brought a few painful memories up, NOT to torment me, but to heal me from them as long as I was willing to repent and renounce my agreement with those various things. In return, I allowed Holy Spirit to remove everything attached with those feelings, memories, behaviors, and lies, while He filled me more with His spirit and truth. During this two hour quiet time session, this song by John Wilds started playing. What a “coincidence”, since Abba Father was doing just that in my life (stripping it all away).

I wanted to briefly share about this experience and encourage everyone to also spend some quiet time with the Lord to allow the Holy Spirit to move however He wants to move. I’ve included the song below and typed up the lyrics for you all who want to follow along.

I pray that the Lord has His way in your hearts and minds while He strips all that does not need to be there from you, when you allow Him to. In Jesus’ name.
